Payroll Coordinator

Catholic Financial Life has an exciting opportunity available for a Payroll Coordinator to join our team! This individual will be responsible for processing all associate and advisor payrolls and benefits. The ideal candidate must be organized, detailed oriented and have a passion to provide superior customer service to Catholic Financial Life associates and advisors. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will:

  • Be responsible for processing and maintaining associate and advisor payrolls, including reviewing and processing additions and changes to the payroll system:
    • Changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, Garnishment/Tax Levy compliance/payments, Spousal/Child Support compliance/payments,
  • Be responsible for enrollment and maintenance of associate and advisor benefit plans, including:
    • 401(k) Plan maintenance and 401(k) Plan Annual Compliance Testing
    • Reviewing and payment of monthly benefit bills
  • Respond to inquiries regarding benefits plans
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is prepared and completed for processing new hire transactions and existing participant changes, including New Hire Reporting Compliance and COBRA Compliance
  • Prepare censuses for renewal of group plans as well as negotiation of health, dental, life and LTD plans
  • Complete Salary Surveys
  • Ensure that the general ledger accounts related to benefits and payroll balance
  • May also be responsible for:
    • Reviewing and approving checks
    • Review, log and report Back-up Withholding
    • Other general accounting tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of Payroll experience
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious, self-motivated, independent
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidates will be able to handle accounting duties in a timely and accurate manner, be an effective communicator, organized, detail oriented and able to work independently. Candidate must be skilled in effectively prioritizing work. Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well in a team environment.
